ALEXANDER R. ARVELO McQUAIG
Good morning.
My name is Alexander Arvelo M
cQuaig. I practice graphic design, write, make music, and love Toronto. Follow the links above to see some of my work. Thank you for being curious about me. You can contact me
here.
I’ve been productive with various creative endeavours for the past decade—writing and performing songs under the name Lanterns, releasing many small publications of essays, articles, and poetry, making autobiographical comics—and, since 2013, working as a freelance graphic designer.
Aside from my creative interests, I’m an ardent urbanist, particularly interested in progressive transportation advocacy, municipal politics, and contemplating Torontonian cultural identity. Ultimately I hope to use graphic design to not only make beautiful things, but to articulate a better world (or at least city), whether by bolstering progressive initiatives or simply making a more accessibly functional visual landscape.
